In a “How-to tutorial” entitled “European Union research grant: how to write and apply?” at the Annual Congress of the European Society for Cardiology (ESC) that was chaired by the EC officer responsible for CONTICA, Dr. Virginija Dambrauskaite, Prof. Pieske was an invited speaker. He provided and discussed his hands on experience with CONTICA with the audience.

Prof. Pieske organized and chaired a symposium during the 74
th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Cardiology (DGK), that was held in association with the CONTICA project. The title of the 90 minutes symposium was: “Dysfunctional cardiomyocyte ion handling and triggered arrhythmias – from basic mechanisms to clinics (in association with the EU “CONTICA” project)”.

In an interview with a journalist of the FH Joanneum (Graz), the coordinator and the scientific project manager explained the goals and research of CONTICA. The resulting article appeared in the science part of the website of the ORF, the public Austrian broadcasting company, ORF-Wissen.
