The organisational structure of CONTICA is illustrated schematically in Fig.1. The project consists of 8 consortium partners, of which Göttingen (Prof. Dr. B. Pieske) is the Coordinator. The 8 partners form the Scientific Board, which compiles progress reports and meets annually. The Coordinator and the Project Management Office execute all decisions made by the Scientific Board. The Coordinator is responsible for scientific and financial reporting to the European Commission. Each year, the External Scientific Advisory Board members and the officer in charge from the European Commission will be invited to participate in a Scientific Board meeting. Ethical monitoring and advice are provided by the External Ethics Advisory Board.
